Hello.. I have the ST510v4, and the power/system led flashing with RED color.
I'm upgrading firmware to 4.3.2.6 after 4 weeks ago. ..Router works "seems good", sometimes disconecting from provider, and some other "little bug" with operating..
After 1 week ago the router "makes HARD RESTARS" by itself.. ..(all LEDs is green, if you send any request 'DHCP Request' all LEDs turn OFF, ..and then start POST procedure.. --> to all LEDs is GREEN, normal/operate mode)
I can try to use this router to another ADSL Line (other place), with another computer, another configuration, and if I plug the POWER cable, all 'TP' LED lighting on GREEN, and POWER LED fast flashing on RED, after (cca) 10 sec. Computer has no conectivity with this router, and any "other recovery procedure" has no effect.
..Is any chance, or hope, to make this device functionaly..?? ..Is it a "DEAD ONE" ..??
..Thank for any answer.. Bye..

It doesn't sound good. Tell us which model it is, 9v dc plugpack or 15v ac?? Does it have a place of manufacture on the bottom? Flashing red I have seen caused by bad plug pack so you should check that. But I have seen other causes particularly bad electrolytic capacitors but only in later 15v made in China version. When you power it up do the leds on the ethernet ports cycle through? |

..it is the Thomson SpeedTouch 510i (TCM:35720500), and it is 15VAC 1A model..
AC Adaptor is good, I have the same model at home, and work with both adaptors.
If I power on, the ethernet leds still lightning imedietly. ..all 4 leds still lightning..and never turn off.. |

When a SpeedTouch 510v4 flashes the red led in the middle and does nothing else, the st510 has been hit by a extreme power spike or something else in that scope.
There is nothing you can do to it. It is dead.
Sorry for your loss. |

| Obviously if under warranty return it without doing anything. But as Scott says it is more likely to have been hit by voltage spike either via phone line or power than anything else if it is that new. |
