Hey guys,

Since my older 4.2 software started te crash after a ac loss, and failed everytime i reconfigured it. I decided to upgrade towards the latest 4.3 firmware.

This firmware is fairly solid, and has a well build. Only problem with mine is the firewall. It seems it discards pings from the Wan side. You have 3 lvl's of security, but even on disabled it keeps blocking those ping requests. Other interfaces as Upnp, nat, dhcp, dns all work fine.

So my question is: Does anyone know how i can manually configure(Telnet CLI) the firewall to accept ping requests?

On speedtouch.com you'll be albe to find the CLI guide for 4.3.2 versions 510v4. If you search using google you'll find numerous of answers, but they're all aimed at the previous 4.2 firmware :-(.

Telnet in and issue the commands.

service system ifadd name=PING_RESPONDER group=wan

saveall

Search using icmp. The answer was on the forums here sometime back.
